Leadership
Although there are many leaders within our church (leaders of small groups, youth activities etc) we currently have 4 church leaders who are elected by the membership. As we are currently without a Pastor our leadership team currently consists of John White, Peter Malcolm and Matt Pargeter. The leadership oversee various parts of CHBC and will have a key role to play as we search for a new pastor. The church also has a Youth worker, Brian Smith, and his details are via the link below.

 | Responsibilities:- As Church Secretary and Administrator I try and 'oil the wheels' to make sure everything runs smoothly whether it be fabric (keeping the buildings up to scratch) or utilities (making sure all our bills are paid) or dealing with anything else that might affect the running of the church. I also lead worship on a regular basis.
Other info:- You might think that as I am nearly at retirement age that life is quietening down a little but far from it. As well as having four children of our own, two of which are still at home, we also have two foster children currently staying with us. We also have a labrador puppy who is an expert at chewing up important bits of paper! Oh - and then we have the church!! Contact John >>> |

 | Responsibilities:- My main "hats of responsibility" are overseeing the church activities aimed at children and young people (which includes keeping the Youth Worker in line), and keeping a beady eye on the Church finances. I also lead our regular All Age Worship services as well as leading worship on other occasions. Other info:- A Dagenham boy born and bred, our family as been at CHBC since October 2001. As well as being Chair of Governors at a local Primary School my main passion is music, playing Principal Cornet with local Brass Band, Pavilion Brass, and playing regularly in the Church worship group. A keen follower of Dagenham and Redbridge football club for over 30 years. Been married to Janet for more years than she cares to remember and manage to fit all the above around my real job of being taxi driver for sons David and Ben. Contact Peter >>> |

 | Responsibilities:- I have various responsibilities including leading worship and currently putting together a profile about the church and local community as part of our search and preparation for a new minister. Other info:- In addition to the various things I do at CHBC I am a keen sporting enthusiast although not as mobile as I used to be! I am an Arsenal fan, have an interest in photography especially when it comes to taking photos of my new daughter, Eve! Although I am on the leadership team at CHBC, my wife Catherine (known as Cathy to most at CHBC), does a lot also including running Noah's Ark. Contact Matt >>> |
